University Botanical Garden – Ecopark Varna

Rating

The St. St. Konstantin and Elena Botanical Garden was made in 1977 and in 2004 was declared a protected territory. It is located close to Varna in the St. Konstantin and Elena resort complex.

The park offers an incredible variety of different plant species to the visitors. Here species from all corners of the Earth are grown – from Asia, North America, Europe. Part of them is included in the Red List of Threatened Species. The most impressive are the 250 types of irises and the rose garden with its nearly 30 types of roses. Gradually the experts working in the Botanical garden have developed it into an arboretum which means that both natural and artificial ecosystems are being maintained in one and the same place.
